XHXC110 Demagnetizer for Power Transformers & CTs

The XHXC110 is a specialized tool for eliminating residual magnetism in large power transformers and current transformers post DC resistance testing. It is essential for shielding these assets from inrush current damage and enabling safe, reliable commissioning.
Ferromagnetic materials exhibit hysteresis, so residual magnetism lingers in transformer iron cores after tests like turns ratio and DC resistance measurements. When the transformer operates, this residual magnetism saturates half the iron core cycle, creating heavy harmonics in excitation current. This boosts reactive power use and risks relay protector misfires—leading to costly downtime. Demagnetization before commissioning is thus mandatory for stable transformer performance.
Upgraded from our original series, the XHXC110 offers automatic demagnetization (no repetitive 操作 for users), a larger LCD screen for enhanced data visibility, and intuitive two-button control: red for select/reset, green for confirm/start. Demagnetization time is cut from 30 minutes to under 4 minutes for faster workflows.

Risks of Residual Magnetism
  1. Relay protection misoperation leads to repeated transformer commissioning failures;
  2. Voltage surges from short-circuit fault clearance trigger protection misfires, shutting down all transformer-side loads;
  3. Inrush current from an unloaded Substation A transformer causes "sympathetic inrush" in nearby Substations B/C transformers, leading to mis-tripping and widespread outages;
